Hero Delivery sells fresh groceries and delivers them by bike. We buy our stock from Richdens SUPERSPAR in Hillcrest and sell it to you, so your order is ours until it is in your hands. Here is exactly how delivery works, from checkout to your door.
Delivery area
We currently deliver to Hillcrest, Winston Park, Drummond, and Monteseel, and the surrounding areas. If you're just outside these areas, message us on WhatsApp and we'll let you know if we can reach you.
Order fulfilment process
| 1. Order placed | You check out on the site and pay online. Payment is confirmed before your order goes to the store for picking. |
| 2. Picking | Your order is picked fresh off the shelf, aisle by aisle, the same morning or afternoon you order it. |
| 3. Handover | Your order is packed and handed to a Hero Delivery rider. |
| 4. Delivery | The rider brings your order straight to your door. |
Estimated delivery time
Most orders arrive within an hour of being placed, depending on the size of your order and how busy we are. You'll get a WhatsApp message the moment your order is out for delivery, with a live map link so you can watch it coming.
Delivery fee
Delivery is a flat R35 per order. Every 10th delivery is free as part of our rewards program. Prefer not to pay for delivery? You can also choose free collection and pick your order up in-store.
Collection option
Choose "Collect" at checkout to skip the delivery fee entirely and pick your order up once it's packed. We'll WhatsApp you the moment it's ready and tell you exactly where to fetch it.
Items we can't fulfil
We pick from real shelves, so now and then something is not available. At checkout you tell us what to do: swap it for something similar, message you first, or leave it out. We never charge you for an item we could not supply. See our Returns & Refunds Policy for the detail.
